Here in my latest blog I'm going to review an online personal shopper service from Lookiero. At the end, I'll reveal my special discount code for you to receive 10% off your first experience with them. I can’t actually remember where I first came across it. As with all things internet and social media these days, everything seems to blur into one! We’re bombarded with ads left right and centre. On occasion, I get the odd meaningful one that is relevant. Lookiero was one of these rare finds and I do remember being rather intrigued by this new service. The process starts by you filling out a multiple choice survey detailing your style preferences, what type of work you do and how much emphasis you want on work or leisure. It was quite in depth with questions on how you like the fit of things to what areas of your body do you want to focus on. There was also a section where you could leave notes about any other relevant information that wasn’t in the multiple choice. For example, as well as maintaining my blog and handmade shop, I work as a nursery practitioner. So my work clothes need to be smart but practical for running around with the little ones. I also wanted to state about my love of colour and print as I wanted to be wowed with the things that bring me the most joy! Below is a prime example of the sort of things you can expect to find in my wardrobe! Pretty floral prints, smart cardigans, flattering skirts, colourful tights (Snag tights are the best!) and comfy Converse. When your parcel arrives, you get 5 items. I love how they give you a little letter with style notes and include visual cards with pictures of how to put the looks together. As a creative, I don't need much help in coordinating my wardrobe. But when you're a full on colour and print lover, sometimes a bit of help is needed in putting it all together so as not to look like a big clashing rainbow mess! This was my second box, I loved my first experience so much I went back for more! I gave them feedback after my first box. Which included a pair of black jeans, a black blazer, a floral print dress, a red funky t-shirt (as shown in my Indie Roller Review) and a smart floral top/blouse. I basically said I didn’t want classic stuff such as the blazer or jeans as I already have that in my wardrobe. I said I wanted to be wowed and get stuff I may not have already. So in this second box I feel they really listened and gave me stuff to get excited about! I received a pretty pair of blue and yellow floral trousers (they actually fit, had functional pockets, felt sooo comfortable and the colour combo was to die for!), a mint green print shirt dress (sadly this didn’t fit and I was gutted as it was perfectly my style!), a yellow blouse with sexy black mesh side panels (again, I was disappointed it didn’t fit but as I am a woman of size, they don’t go any bigger 😕), a grey t-shirt with a colourful floral buttoned back panel (pretty and practical, perfect for work and spot on my style again), a royal blue t-shirt with gold trim on the v-neck and a pretty knotted back. I loved this too. Here's a little slide show of all the items. I ended up keeping 3 out of the five items - the dark blue t-shirt, the grey t-shirt with floral panel and the blue and yellow floral trousers. I would have kept all five if the other two items had fitted. The returns process is easy, they give you a return bag to pack your items in and you simply take your package of unwanted items back to your DPD pick up/drop off point. They scan it and send it back and that's it! However you only get about 5 days to return items so if you're anything like me in leaving things until the last minute... then make sure you package up your unwanted items straight away after trying them on! It's too easy to let it sit there and just think 'oh I'll sort that out later'. Later never happens! The only other thing you need to do to return is go online to your account and click what items you are keeping as this then acts as a form of 'checkout'. It's all quite self-explanatory once you log into your account and view your recent order. The photo above was taken on a little short break to the South of France. The yellow jumper I'm wearing is from Primark. I made a comment how wearing the good quality trousers from Lookiero against the cheaper fast fashion of Primark is akin to having fake and real flowers next to each other at a wedding! But would you have actually noticed this discrepancy in quality if I hadn't have pointed it out?! Insert laughing Emoji here! Overall I think it's a fantastic experience and not to be missed. The personal stylist team at Lookiero really do listen to your style needs and give you something to get excited about! You do pay £10 for the experience but I think it's well worth it! No doubt I will be back for more! And if you wanted to check out the full vlog of me trying all the outfits on, have a look at my Youtube video below! Don't forget if I have a referral code if you wanted to try it out and get 10% off your first try which is.... LKJULIA305. As it's a referral code it means I'll get a £10 credit on my account if you choose to use it. Happy shopping people!
