Is this The End?

''It was a simple trip to the supermarket. We only needed a few bits. ''Look at that," he said, shaking his head. I looked. "One for one. It's due to go below one come October". The bright LED numbers were winking at me, as I tried to make sense of it all.
"Is this because of Brexit?".
"Shocking isn't it?"
My mind started wandering. Brexit, North Korea, ISIS. Such fear, such uncertainty.
The buzz of the supermarket snapped me back to life.'

​This actually happened on a trip to Sainsbury's. The board for currency exchange rates was on display at the entrance. It got me thinking how it sounds like dystopian fiction. I was watching the news today and the first thing that came up was the missile strikes in North Korea. 2 Peter 3:10 states: 'But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.' (KJV). Could North Korea start World War 3? Matthew 24:6 states: 'And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.' (KJV). It's a huge sign it won't be long until Jesus returns and the world, as we know it, will cease.

I just want to encourage you, whether you have a faith or not. Fear doesn't help anyone. We need to stand together and have faith in these testing times. Faith in our leaders (as hard as that may be!), faith in each other to love and support one another and, if that way inclined, faith in God. I believe that He will work everything together for good for those who love Him. He will make our paths straight, He will raise the valleys and lower the mountains. And those who wait on the Lord will not be disappointed!

I must say, I am guilty of having a Youtube fest where I search and scour videos of 'Jesus' return', 'end times signs', 'prophetic word 2017' etc. It's so easy to get caught up in it. As if Youtube has the answer! I don't think we should rely on signs and wonders but just trust in God. If God is for us, who can be against us? When we get close to Him, really go deep, we can understand more of His heart. That whatever is coming, He will protect those who seek Him.

I've been in a bit of a creative fug since the start of August. I have scared myself in losing all passion and desire for this blogging/crafting lark. Any ideas I came up with were followed by the thought 'who is going to want to read such self indulgent rubbish?!'. I felt like I'd lost my voice. So I thought I'd try something different with this post (the opening). I think I needed to include my faith for my comfort as much as anyone else's! What did you think? Did the tone seem different? Can you just tell I'm having a crisis?! Please do comment!
